Beauty and The Beast

Beauty and The Beast at Tivoli Theatre - Chattanooga

Belle wants a life bigger than the one everyone has planned for her. That’s an easy thing to understand at any age, even before she steps into an enchanted castle. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast comes to the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga on September 17, and the stage musical lets you spend a little more time with that part of the story.

Watch how Belle and the Beast respond when the other person surprises them. The story works because both of them have something to learn, and the familiar music gives you time to notice when their feelings start to change. If you already know the movie, follow the people between the songs instead of waiting for the parts you recognize.

This is a good choice for somebody’s first trip to the theatre. A familiar story gives a young guest something to hold on to. And if you’re taking another adult who grew up with it, you can enjoy the pleasure of seeing which moments still get to you and which ones hit differently now.

Make the show your Friday plan and give yourselves some time afterward to talk about it. You might find that the person beside you spent the evening rooting for somebody completely different. Find ticket options for Beauty and The Beast and start a new memory sitting side by side where you can both see what happens next.
