Plan Your Visit to McKenzie Arena
Which seating layout applies to my event?
UTC documents several configurations, including end-stage, side-stage and in-the-round setups. For basketball, look for the court on the chart and see where your section sits relative to the baskets. For a concert, find the stage first. A section with a useful court view may be oriented differently when the stage takes up one end of the floor.
Which garage or lot should I use?
UTC’s directions identify Lot 31 on Mocs Alumni Drive and describe paid parking around the arena. Some street parking is available, subject to posted restrictions. Individual shows can change which lots are reserved. If your party is arriving separately, send the lot name and preferred gate instead of relying on a pin at the center of the building.
Where should I ask about wheelchair access?
UTC identifies limited accessible parking in Lot 20 by Gate 3 and asks guests to request accessible seating when buying tickets. Have your event and preferred section ready when you contact the ticket office. Confirm the entry gate and the route from parking, since knowing where a space is doesn’t tell you which row will work for you.
UTC directs wheelchair users and visitors who have difficulty with steps to Gate 3. The university also describes all restrooms as wheelchair accessible. Ask about the route from that gate to your seating area if you are choosing between concourse and floor locations.
Does the arena use a clear-bag policy?
The university publishes a clear-bag policy for arena events. Review its bag sizes and exceptions before packing. If you’re coming to a Mocs game as a UTC student, the university also publishes a separate reservation procedure for men’s and women’s basketball. Use the instructions for the specific event and ticket type.
Can I bring food into the arena?
The arena operates concession stands during events. The university prohibits outside food and drinks, with exceptions for medical needs and baby food. For a particular accommodation, contact the arena before arriving so you can plan what to bring.
