Beetlejuice - The Musical

Beetlejuice - The Musical at Tivoli Theatre - Chattanooga

You don’t always expect to laugh at a musical about ghosts, but Beetlejuice spins the supernatural into a full-on comedy. Sit down in the Tivoli Theatre and the stage practically dares you to root for the oddball: Lydia Deetz, once a fringe character, now drives the story.

The weirdness isn’t just for spectacle. Lydia’s sharp wit and hopeful desperation hit a little close to home for anyone who’s ever wanted a place to belong. When she meets a ghost couple as lost as she feels and a beetle-striped demon with a pretty flexible sense of boundaries, that’s your cue to laugh at the most unexpected moments.

Every gag, from the living room table gone haywire to Beetlejuice’s signature sleaze, comes to life right in front of you. In the audience, you can spot the sly glances and slyer one-liners that wouldn’t survive a TV edit. It’s a send-up of the afterlife with the comfort of your theater seat and the thrill of not knowing what wild effect pops up next.

Bring a friend who loves their humor on the dark side and wants a story as strange as it is funny. Make a night of it. go to the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, let yourself root for every weirdo on stage, and see what the living and the dead can get up to together.
