Waitress

Waitress at Tivoli Theatre - Chattanooga

There’s something magical that happens when music and flour fly in the same room. and that’s exactly what Waitress brings to life onstage. You can almost smell the sugar as you settle into your seat at Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga, where this celebrated Broadway musical serves up big feelings and bigger laughs amid the clatter of plates and the unmistakable warmth of a hometown diner.

The story centers on Jenna, whose pie-making skills are outmatched only by her knack for getting through hard days with wit and a ready comeback. Around her, friends pile up with advice, rivalry, and the occasional emergency order of pie.

There’s real power in hearing Sara Bareilles’s songs fill the room, connecting momentary heartbreaks to hopeful, foot-tapping choruses. Watching this show live, you see every side-eye at the counter, every handshake and hand-me-down recipe, and every leap of faith on stage. The feeling in the theatre is something you can’t stream or rewind; it’s as warm as a round of fresh pie shared at your own table.
