Heather McMahan

Heather McMahan at Robert Kirk Walker Theatre

You know that friend who recounts a dramatic grocery store meltdown and suddenly the whole table is in stitches? That’s what a night with Heather McMahan feels like in person. When she heads to Chattanooga, she lands with stories sharp enough to feel true and warm enough that you don’t mind revisiting your own disasters. Picture an evening at Walker Theatre where your latest awkward fail finally gets upgraded to premium joke material.

Heather’s genius is making her audience the co-conspirators. One moment, she’s riffing on small indignities or big, loud feelings. The next, everyone’s nodding along as if she somehow saw their group chat. With her Absolutely Not podcast, folks tune in for laughs at a distance. But onstage, she’s right there, working the room, turning mutual frustration into relief and shared comedy.

Sometimes you want an outing that’s less about spectacle and more about a good, collective release. Bring the friend who loves to swap wild stories or the one who just wants a night out that doesn’t require dress shoes. At the Walker Theatre, Heather works the space like the best host you ever had: sharp, quick, and downright relatable. Check ticket options for Heather McMahan and make a plan to go together.
