John Cleese

John Cleese at Tivoli Theatre - Chattanooga

You’re in a velvet seat at the Tivoli Theatre, grinning because no one. absolutely no one. delivers nonsense quite like John Cleese. It’s a rare pleasure to share space with the king of comedic absurdity, the same showman whose deadpan delivery once turned the phrase "I’m not dead yet" into an eternal punchline. There are only a few chances in life to hear these stories and witticisms flying directly from the original source, especially on the golden anniversary of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

You probably already know who in your circle needs to be there with you. It’s the friend who treats every mildly inconvenient moment as a chance to quote the Knights Who Say Ni, or debates the role of swallows (African versus European, of course) with alarming accuracy. The show is a reason to make shared jokes real for a night, to finally test whether your favorite silly walks can survive Chattanooga’s local traffic.

Seeing Cleese live means catching not just clever punchlines, but the tiny, knowing looks and long pauses that made his characters legendary. There’s something extra ridiculous about experiencing British wit in person, surrounded by others who excel at laughing at life’s oddities. Pick a date for a night of classic humor at its finest, and find ticket options for John Cleese’s Still Not Dead (Yet) show at Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga before another joke passes you by.
