The Outsiders

The Outsiders at Tivoli Theatre - Chattanooga

You don’t just pick anyone to see The Outsiders with you. This is the friend who understands what it’s like to feel like part of your own little crew, even when the rest of the world seems to be in a different club entirely. Maybe you both know the book, maybe you’ve both been a Ponyboy or a Johnny at some point.

The Tony-winning touring stage version pulls every bit of heart from the original story. You’re in Tulsa. The tension’s always there, but when the Greasers step on stage, you actually hear what holds them together. The new music, played live, gives those famous characters a different kind of voice. Lines you thought you’d memorized land in a fresh way when a whole song opens up beneath them.

It’s not just the action and the music. it’s how that sense of belonging and class feels real when you’re sitting in the same room. You watch the Greasers, but you also watch the friend you came with nod at the same moments or catch a line under their breath. The live show makes it easier to see yourself in the story instead of just reading about it.
