Sundy Best

Sundy Best at The Barrelhouse Ballroom

A song about leaving home can mean one thing while you’re packing and another when you’re driving back. That’s territory Sundy Best knows well. Nicholas Jamerson and Kris Bentley draw from country, folk and rock, and the stories give you a reason to pay attention even when the sound is new to you. Sundy Best comes to The Barrelhouse Ballroom in Chattanooga on Friday, December 11, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.

The stories get some of their weight from the fact that the two founders have made music together for years. Listen to where their voices or rhythms settle into a familiar pocket. Sometimes the easiest way to hear how two people know each other is to pay attention to what they leave room for. Those details can make the quieter stretches worth your attention too.

Try Door Without a Screen or Bring Up the Sun before the show. The records give you a sense of the things the two collaborators keep coming back to. Bring someone who’s moved away and come back, or someone who’s still thinking about it. There’s an easy conversation in asking which line stayed with them.
