Vienna Light Orchestra at Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul

Make the concert your first plan for the afternoon. At 1:30, you can hear the Vienna Light Orchestra’s Christmas program with time left over to spend with the people you brought. Inside the basilica, the touring production pairs five voices and orchestral strings with candlelight and illuminated trees. Vienna Light Orchestra comes to Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Chattanooga on Thursday, December 17, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.

There’s a reason to come even if you already have enough Christmas music at home. Hearing a new arrangement in the room lets you notice the work individual voices and strings do to carry a familiar tune. Give one part your attention for a while and see when another one makes you want to listen somewhere else. You can make a daytime plan without giving up the atmosphere of candlelight.

This is an easy performance to choose if someone in your group would rather be out during the day. And if you’ve been looking for something to share across generations, the seasonal music gives you a starting point. Ask afterward which melody they recognized first and what they noticed about the new arrangement.

Check tickets for the early-afternoon Vienna Light Orchestra concert and choose a daytime Christmas outing.
